Award-winning design, made in Germany

February 2019 – Britax Römer’s ADVANSAFIX IV R was the winner of this year’s iF DESIGN AWARD in the Product - Babies/Kids category. The premium car seat was selected by the 67-member international jury of independent experts due to its distinguished safety and sleek design. iF International Forum Design GmbH is the world’s oldest independent design organization and one of the most popular awards of its kind. This is Britax Römer’s second iF Award, following the DUALFIX i-SIZE win in 2018.

More than 6,400 entries from 50 countries were submitted to iF this year in hopes of receiving the renowned seal of quality. The ADVANSAFIX IV R is a group 1-2-3 car seat that is a culmination of Britax Römer’s unique new design language developed over the past few years. The car seat grows with a child from 9 to 36 kg (≈ 9 months – 12 years) in a few simple steps and retains its elegant form and excellent safety features throughout all stages.

The ADVANSAFIX IV R provides children with the luxury of comfortable car journeys thanks to lots of inner space, an ergonomic headrest, a 5-point harness with soft neoprene chest pads and EasyRecline to adjust the car seat smoothly during the journey for cosy naps. The superior safety of ADVANSAFIX IV R ensures that the child is protected at every age. The seat features Britax Römer’s patented ISOFIX pivot link system, which reduces the forward movement of the car seat, while the V-shaped headrest controls the movement of the child’s head in the event of a crash. The adjustable SICT and deep, side wings provide superior side impact protection.
