LONDON, FEBRUARY 2014- Leading child safety brand BRITAXhas returned to Harrogate this year to unveil its latest and most innovative developments in travel safety solutions and outdoor strollers.

1.  GROUP 2-3 -THE NEW BRITAX KID FAMILY

To support BRITAX's plea for familiesNOT to use booster cushionswhich don't offer any side impact or head protection in the event of a crash,BRITAXwill be showcasing two newGroup 2-3 ranges. 

The XP RANGE which includes the KIDFIX XP SICTtakes protection to the ultimate level.  The revolutionary cushioned seat belt pad, called theXP-PAD, utilises advanced shock absorbing compressed foam that fits around the adult seat belt.  This patented technology, developed and made in Germany, works to take the energy of the crash forces away from a child's chest area, and as the child's head moves forwards during a crash and the chin hits the cushion, the neck is firmly but gently supported.  This reduces high neck loads by up to 30% in comparison to a three-point seat belt without the XP-PAD*.

The KIDFIX XP SICT also boasts advanced side impact cushion technology to help reduce side impact crash forces.  It works to minimise the distance between the car door and the seat to reduce forces by over 25% before they even reach your child**.  The cushion is integrated within the seat design and can be activated and adjusted perfectly on the side closest to the door where the impact will be the most severe.  This also allows the middle passenger to have more space and comfort on the other side of the seat.

The SL RANGE (Soft Latch) which includes the new KIDFIX SL SICT provides parents with side impact cushion technology which can be removed completely from the seat and placed on the side closest to the door where the impact would be the most severe.  The simpleSoftLatch system for this range can make installations of the seat easier to the ISOFIX connection points in the car and to move between cars.

Both the new ranges have a V-shaped backrest ensuring the perfect fit throughout a child's development.

2.  GROUP 1:  THE NEW KING FAMILY

The new KING family offers parents a premium Group 1 belted seat that incorporates new harnessing technology for a peaceful and comfortable journey. The seat offers those parents without ISOFIX connection points in their car a seat that will fit perfectly in any vehicle so they can rest assured their little ones are safe and secure whilst travelling.

The iconic KING design, apparent throughout the entire new range, allows tipping of the seat for easy seat belt routing, reducing the risk of incorrectly feeding the seat belt. This coupled with clever seat belt tensioning ensures there is no slack in the seat belt and a perfect solid fit of the car seat to the car. 

The top of the range new KING II ATS includes a ground-breakingnew Active Tensioning System which provides parents with live reassuring feedback through light and sound as to whether the harness is tensioned correctly, ready for a safe and comfortable journey. Known as intelligent five-point harnessing, there is a;

Harness Indicator, a clever little light that indicates when the correct harness tension for a safe and comfortable journey is achieved.

Harness Tensioner, should the little one have thicker clothing on or wriggle about, the harness tensioner dynamically and automatically retracts the harness during the journey, so it is tensioned and stays to the correct level at all times.

Harness Tension Alert,which will sound and light up to alert the parents, should the harness be no longer tensioned or buckled correctly.

The new KING LS,offer parents all the great advantages of the seat belt tensioning system, but also the Light System, which indicates when the correct tension for a safe and comfortable journey is achieved.

 

3. OUTDOOR STROLLER:  BOB REVOLUTION PRO
